Ok, here’s what went down in a nutshell (yes, I am watching Lost as I write this so bare with me)
-The Portland lady. At dinner I met a really nice lady from Portland, Oregon. She told me about creative things she did to get the staff at her church pumped about F1. We exchanged contact information and she’s going to send me some cool stuff.
Sidenote: I told her that every time I hear Portland, Oregon I think about Don Miller. She was like “Who?”. LOL. Oh well….
-”I’d like you to meet Matt McMaster…” “Hi, I’ve heard of you. I’m from Flamingo Road Church.” “Oh yea… You guys introduced me to the best Cuban food. I remember Matt and Mindy” “So who are you?” “I’m Stacie. I’m Mindy” “Ohhhh…. mini-Mindy…..She’s great.” It was a funny conversation.
-Scored a private small group manager web training Monday afternoon. Sweet!
-”What church are you guys from?” “Flamingo Road Church” “Ohhhhh yea… I remember you’re church code. I’ve taken care of a few of your incidents.” LOL. WOW.
-Met super nice F1 staffers. First guy was some dude on the technical team. He answered a lot of my techy questions and kinda shocked that I knew what he was talking about (apparently I’m a “tech chick”). He even told me about some cool stuff they are dreaming up. Then we had dinner with a guy on the quality control team. He helped us plan our day tomorrow to better fit our needs at FRC. This dude ate dinner with us AND stayed long after everyone else was gone and the hotel staff started to clean up. The attention from the staff was amazing. The funny thing is that we probably wouldn’t have met these people if our flight wasn’t delayed…
-I asked every staff member I spoke to how they liked working for F1 and when I asked this question their eyes lite up. The passionately explained to me how much they love what they do and how much they believe in the mission. I valued what they had to say so much more after that.
-I took a cold shower in my room. I haven’t taken a cold shower since our last hurricane. It was horrible.
-Dallas weather is amazing! Crisp and clean smelling air. Love it!
-Lost is amazing. What else is new?
-I’m done for the night
I really hope this post makes sense… But do my posts ever make sense? Naaaaa

I can’t belive that, that lady didn’t know who Don Miller is. Fore shame on the Oregonite that does not know who the greatest author of this century is!!
