I used to think I had good taste in movies. But now I’m starting to question my judgment. Lately I’ve been renting bad/mediocre movies. I look at my Netflix queue and shutter in shame. They are all lame movies!
Here’s the thing with Netflix: There’s too many choices! It’s so easy to add garbage to my queue because it’s so easy to return it and get a new movie in 2 days later. I know I’m not the only one. I’ve spoken to other mail-in movie junkies and we all have the same problem. I think I’ve forgotten what it’s like to spend 45 mins at Blockbuster pacing the aisles, picking up a movie and setting it back down, picking it back up, but putting it back down because I remembered I had a billion dollars in late fees so I could only rent one. Back then I had to be sure I really wanted to watch the movie I chose. I lived in fear of the dreaded WASTED RENTAL ::cue dramatic music::
So I need your help! What are you favorite movies? What should I rent? What would you consider to be a MUST SEE?

I have a love-hate relationship with Netflix. I used to get bored of getting movies on the mail or forget about them and keep them for 2 months. So I decided to cancel my membership every 6 months. That way I leave the industry to produce good movies. Then I subscribe again and every now and then I get gladly surprised saying “how come I missed this good movie?”
Sorry I can’t help you with recommendations, I am in my not-subscribed cycle right now. You can never go wrong with Shawshank Redemption though. Also, try putting TV shows on your queue.
uh heres a couple from the top of my head Munich, Why should the devil have all the good music? (good one little repetitive tho) American Movie(have to see it!!!!)Memento(if you havent already)Donnie Darko, the prestige, and mystery men. there ya go ill think of some more
If you like Pierce Brosnan or Julianne Moore, Laws of Attraction is definately a girly movie you wanna watch for a good pick you up. If you like a lil’ freakiness with some great music, Sweeny Todd with Johnny Depp and Helena-Bonham Carter is an excellent choice. If you are up for a history lesson and a reason why Obama is mad at the U.S. check out Charlie Wilson’s War; and it doesnt hurt that Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts are the stars. Or if you want a crazy foreign film that is interesting, check out Run Lola Run. That should be enough for a few months.. haha..
