Reason why LOST is like crack:
- It only takes one show to get you hooked. This is me: “Just watch ONE episode… You’ll like it!”
I know one episode is all it takes. I’m like the Godfather trying to lure you into “the family”. (Of course there are the exceptions that just aren’t into that sort of thing)
-You’re asking your friends for the keeper of the DVDs (aka drug dealer).
-Insomnia. You find yourself losing sleep watching (or in some cases re-watching) an episode.
-Hallucinations. “Hey, that guy looks JUST like Locke!”
-Nobody has any idea what you’re talking about anymore. “Dude, this reminds me of the time Sawyer said….” “What are you talking about?”
-Paranoia. “I’m not sitting there. It’s in row 23. You wanna get your face handed to you by some polar bear in the middle of a jungle then by all means….”
-You’re suddenly interested in science.
-Obsession. You spend hours on the Internet researching “the goods” In this case, LOST theories”.
-You form a circle of friends who enjoy your new interest and everybody outside that circle is slightly less cool.
Kinda crazy when you look at it like that, huh?

I saw the Pilot episode and didn’t get hooked right away. I think it might take more than one to get addicted.
Awesome job hooking up your friends to Lost.
I may be the last “man” standing; I’ve never watched one episode of Lost, so I guess I’m “outside that circle [and] slightly less cool.” Ah well.
2 years ago I purchased the pilot from itunes and that was it. I have been hooked ever since.
My name is Roberto Carlos Lopez and I am a LOST Addict.

whew…that felt good to off my chest!
OK, so I’m not alone. Thanks Miguel. I watched the first episode last night. I didn’t get it, and it was so yucky, I don’t know if I want to watch anymore. Should I stick it out at least one more show?
I’m a little afraid to watch that first episode. That happened to me with F*R*I*E*N*D*S. My daughter bought the seasons, I watched ONE episode, and that was it. Now it’s all about Phoebe, Ross and Rachel. Now she teases me because my friends live in a box (the box the videos came in). She’s a brat.
